Lina

This is one incredible lady. She's my wife.

Almost everyone around her know that just a wee bit of pain will bring on the tears. Thus almost everyone came to the conclusion that since she has a very low pain threshold, she wouldn't be able to take the pain during the normal delivery that she had opted for. Everyone encouraged her to take the epidural jab. She refused.

I told her everyone cared about her that's why they gave that advice. I told her that I too, know that she has a very low pain threshold and maybe she should give the advice a thought. Who'd expect that the comment I just made brought on the tears to her eyes. I oughta give myself a good kick in my arse if I could. What an ass I've been. I should be giving her my support instead of support the rest.

The special thing with Lina, is that she, although has a low pain threshold, her guts, bravery and determination is out of this world. A pin prick, jab, knock or cut makes her cry. But that did not stop her from taking on the "Giant Drop" ride in Gold Coast, Australia. That ride has a drop from a vertical height of at least a good 100m (can't remember the exact height). And all you've got is a horizontal bench and a seat belt. She did it. Didn't even give a hoot about it. Me ? I have to admit that I'm a wimp. I'm a sissy. Nothing could budge me onto that bench. Nothing. After that incident, I've looked at Lina from a different perspective. She is really something!

So, for the refusal of taking epidural jab issue, I forgot about the Giant Drop issue for a moment. Just a moment. Thats when I told her to heed the others' advice. Then I realised my mistake. I knew she could do this. She could and she will go through with the normal delivery.

She did it. Without vacuum, without forceps, without epidural. No nurses could persuade her to take the epidural shot.

I'm so proud of her. She's brave, gutsy and determined. She's my wife (I've got to say this again).

I also wanna thank her for giving birth to such an adorable, cute and charming little princess, our little princess Ellie.

I guess I won't have time to constantly update my blog, nonetheless, I'll do whatever I can.

I wanna thank all those who visited us at Mount Alvernia and all those who couldn't make it.

Thank you all for your time, congrats, all the gifts, regards and best wishes.
